Student art show deadline approaches

As the season bounces between the cold and warm days of spring, senior art student Acacia Haspels spends endless hours designing and creating her final pieces for her last year at Sterling College. But among the canvases and utensils, Haspels has an exciting event planned.

Sterling College SGA hosts intramural indoor soccer

Sterling College Student Government Association, or SGA for short, hosted the first intramural sport of the semester on Feb. 7 from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Gleason Center.

‘That ‘90s Show’ is worth checking out

Those who were fans of the sitcom that took place in fictional Point Place, Wisconsin that took place during the 1970’s, That ‘70s Show, are in luck and get to relive the nostalgia two decades later with That ‘90s Show, a spinoff of the original show, that premiered on Netflix on Jan. 19.
As someone who is a huge fan of the original show, I actually wasn’t too excited to see this project come to light as I’ve seen Netflix do these sorts of projects, like with Full House and Fuller House, and they seemed forced, tacky, and cringey.
Despite that, at the end of the day, I can’t lie and I have to say that the show wasn’t too bad . . . [more]
Avatar: The Way of Wasting Money

James Cameron delivered us a colossal letdown of a movie. The movie stretched on for 3 hours and 16 minutes when the plot alone could have been reduced to a 30-minute cartoon. Cameron spent years working on these movies, and it is clear he did not put the same amount of effort into the script as he did into the directing/ CGI. I will give it to him, the movie was a visual masterpiece, but it felt like a video game or something that should be a part of Disney World . . . [more]
