Gibbs brings home KCM contest victories

Sterling College journalism garnered recognition recently by securing four victories in the 2023 Kansas Collegiate Media Contest.
Junior Shaylee Gibbs, of Amarillo, Texas, came away as an individual winner.
Also, the Sterling College Observer, which is in its fourth year as the campus student media outlet, received second place in the overall category. In that category, publications can earn one or none of three overall honors within their classifications, which are based on the type of publication and institution. . . . [more]
Paintbrushes, Charcoal, Binding, and Cameras: reception hosted for student art show

The Sterling College Art Department hosted an official reception for the Student Art show on Apr. 12. A dozen students participated in the show, having submitted several pieces of art that ranged across the mediums of art. For those that came to the reception, the gallery was decorated with the artistic abilities of bookbinding, charcoal paintings, and even 3D pen printing. . . . [more]
13th annual Love, Sterling coming back

Love Sterling, the annual community service event put on by Sterling College will be held again this year.
This year the event will take place on Sat. April 22nd from 8 a.m. to noon, with a multitude of projects around town. Students who volunteer to be part of this event will also receive one chapel credit.
This year will be the 13th annual edition of Love Sterling dating back to 2010.
